The purpose of this Country Analysis is to guide the UN Country Team in selecting and prioritizing interventions, and targeting support to where the UN can make the biggest difference and most effectively respond to key national priorities. In particular, the Country Analysis analyzes the situation of the country with respect to international norms and goals and the patterns and causes of inequality. Looking forward, the Country Analysis identifies the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the path to achieving the SDGs within the context of the UN Partnership Framework.
